About Journal of Tourism & Research

Tourism & Research is a refereed journal. Initial aim of the journal is to contribute to making, developing and sharing the scientific studies relating to tourism sector and working life. It is published twice a year. To be able to verify the articles’ accordance with scientific expression and spelling rules, articles are reviewed by editorial board. Then, articles which are decided to be suitable are sent to three arbitrators who have name for scientific studies. As a result of arbitrators’ decisions, articles are published, published with requirement to adjustment or refused. Reports, kept in privacy, of arbitrators are stored in archive for five years. Details of the policies and spelling rules about journal are submitted below.

• Precondition

The papers submitted to journal of Tourism Research must be unpublished in elsewhere, or not synchronically be in the review process of another publication. All of the responsibilities of published articles are owned bye writer(s) of the articles. If the empirical data are demanded by the referee(s) in the review process, author(s) should share them. In addition to this, journal of Tourism Research owns the copyright of the papers published.

 

• About Sending Articles

You can send your articles online after you are registered to system.

 

• Rules About Submission of Articles

Articles should be written in Microsoft Word 6.0 and an above version of it (in accordance with IBM). Papers should be typed in double spacing with margins by 12 size of Times New Roman style. Articles can be sent to e-mail address. It is preferred that articles with the part of references, should not be exceeded to 10.000 words. Articles should be sent with an abstract includes or about 150-200 words, in Turkish and English languages and gel code must be used.

 

• Ordering of References

The format of references must be in accordance with APA criterion.

 

• References in-text

All of the references in the main text are indicated by the system of in-text footnotes. Where it is needed, names of writer(s), date of publishing and the page number of quotations are given by using parenthesis. If same references are used in text again the same method is applied by using abbreviations such as Ibid. If the name of writer of quotation is given in text repetition of the writer’s name in parenthesis is needless. If there are two writers of quotation surnames of the both writers should be used. If writers are more than two, the signal of et al should be put after the surname of first writer. Where the references are more than one they should be separated by using semicolon. Explanations which are not suitable to mention inside the text the method of footnotes in page should be used. For the references used in these footnotes the same methodology as above is used.

• Explanatory Notes

Explanatory notes should be at the end of the article. For the meaning of quotations in references explanatory notes should be used.

 

• Introduction

Within the extent of this section, which covers around 3-4 paragraphs, a concise description of the study and the points by which the study diverges from the others should be given. The detailed inclusion of the results and their conclusions should be avoided.

 

• Headings

Approximately, there should be headings on each 2-3 pages and the long paragraphs should be avoided. The headings can be numbered beginning from the introduction.

 

• Tables

Complex statistical tables should be included as appendixes. In text, concise and descriptive tables are given. Tables and figures should be numbered in a row and each be given in separate pages.

 

• Conclusion

In this section, the results should be stated in concise and in terms of their contributions to the related literature.
